Had my first root canal a few days ago, and my anxiety was at an all time high to the point of dissociation. But everything went great. The process was completely painless, aside from the mild discomfort of my jaw been open for so long, but they offered sever breaks throughout the procedure to rest for a bit. Afterwards I was given instructions on post op care, many of which were assuming I would be in pain afterwards but I had no recovery pain other than tenderness when I touched my temporary crown. I really enjoyed the banter between the folks working on my teeth. They were having fun with each other and it really calmed me down. Something that may be largely irrelevant to most folks is the fact that they gender me correctly and used my preferred name, even when it doesn't currently match my legal name. Everyone that I spoke to was respectful and kind (at least 5 people off the top of my head.) I'm glad I went here, and I'm happy to go back for further work in the near future.
